Billy Harvey Jacks, age 96, of the Randall community, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at the Greenhouse Cottages in Rison, Arkansas. Born on March 10, 1929, Billy was the beloved son of the late Fred and Linnie (Reed) Jacks.
He was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 67 years, Sewilda (Rodgers) Jacks, whom he married on February 17, 1956. Billy was also preceded by his parents; three brothers, Johnny, Charles, and James; and four sisters, Kathleen, Helen, Betty Sue, and Rosemary.
A devoted member and deacon of Center Missionary Baptist Church, Billy lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love. He worked for the railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1988, and was a skilled carpenter throughout his life. His hands built more than structures—they built a legacy of care and craftsmanship.
Billy found joy in the simple pleasures: tending his garden, planting flowers, working in the yard, and spending time with his grandchildren. Known for his generous spirit, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
He is survived by his loving children: Keith, Scott, Steve and Teresa, and Randy and Dawn. Billy was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren, Mallory, Hamilton and Romina, Jennifer and Jett, Lance and Melissa, Jacob and Kelsey, Jared and Melanie, Jason and Jenny, April and Caleb, Cobie and Cody, Megan, Randa and 21 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.
Billy Harvey Jacks will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his deep faith, and the legacy of love he leaves behind. His life was a testament to hard work, humility, and devotion to family and community.
