Betty Cole

Betty Ann Cole, known by all as Mama Dear, age 88 of Rowell passed away Monday August 4, 2025. She was born September 20, 1936 to the late Luther and Ophie Johnston Reed. On September 26, 1953 she married the love of her life, Buster Cole, and together they owned and operated Cole Farms. They enjoyed spending their days raising cattle and baling hay. Mama Dear dedicated her life to helping others. She loved cooking, getting her hair done, watching westerns with her dog Winston, and spending time with her family.

Betty Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Russell Lee “Buster” Cole, daughter Donna Jacks, and siblings J.W. Reed, M.R. Reed, Myrtice Galloway, Pebble Cash and Bobbie June Cash.

Left to carry on her legacy are her daughter Brenda Richardson (Jimmy), grandchildren Kim Ann Nelson, Keith Jacks, Julie Sandine (Chris), Bryan Richardson (Rebecca); great-grandchildren Peyton Sandine, Greyson Sandine, Colby Jacks, Brody Richardson, Ella "Miss L" Richardson and son-in-law Randy Jacks, all of Rowell.

Visitation will be Thursday August 7, 2025, at 10:00 am at Center Missionary Baptist Church with services officiated by Brother Doney Blackerby to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Rowell Cemetery.
