Beatrice Louise Beck

Beatrice Louise Beck, age 87, of Rison passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014. Mrs. Beck was born January 20, 1927 in Rison, Arkansas, a daughter of the late V. O. Woolley and Myrtle Marie Edwards Woolley. She was a long time member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Rison and a homemaker. Mrs. Beck is preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Tom Leopard. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 39 years, Lester Tommy Beck of Rison whom she married October 25, 1974; two sons, Ronnie Phillips and wife Kaye of Rison and Roger Phillips of Rison; two daughters, Vanita Hendricks and husband Jack of Woodlawn and Cindy Beatty and husband Kenny of Rison; one brother, J. L. Leopard of White Hall; one sister, Helen Rundell of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2014 in the Buie Funeral Home chapel with Brother Sam House and Brother Mike Crane officiating, burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
