Amy Louise Earnest

Amy Louise Earnest, 81, of Prattsville passed away Saturday February 28, 2026, at her home. Born in Malvern, Arkansas to the late William Ellis and Myrtle Garner Taylor, Amy was a homemaker. She loved gardening, floral arranging, gospel music and most importantly her grandchildren. Amy was a member and attended Sweet Home Baptist Church as long as her health allowed.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Reggie Gene Earnest of the home; daughters Tammy ( Steve) Bailey of Prattsville, Tina (Jeremy) Hudson of Donaldson, Christy Earnest ( Jason Riggan) of Malvern, April Earnest of Ico; son Randy Earnest ( Tina) of Choctaw, OK; sister Ella Benning of Sheridan; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family.

Amy is preceded in death by her parents; son Daniel Wayne Earnest; siblings Robert Taylor, Ruby Stutton, Joyce Taylor, Lena Cassidy, Shirley Robinette; grandsons Kyle Bryce Ray and Gene Bailey; nephew Jerry Rimmer.

Visitation will be Tuesday March 3, 2026, from 6 to 8pm at Buie and Cole Funeral Home in Sheridan. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 4, 2026, at 10 am in the chapel of Buie and Cole Funeral Home in Sheridan with Brothers Neal Hollinger and Jeremy Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville.
