Alean Verdue

Alean Verdue age 89 of Rison, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the Cleveland County Nursing Home. She was born December 30, 1918 in Lincoln County, a daughter of the late Virgil B. and Mae Ellen Grumbles Owen. Mrs. Verdue was a homemaker and a member of Bethelem Missionary Baptist Church at Palmyra. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Verdue; seven sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Verdue is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sharron and Donnie Roberts of Rison; one sister, Retha Glover of Star City; four grandchildren and their spouses, Rickey and Kim Roberts, Donna and Bruce Grubb, Debbie and Charles McBryde, Brian and Shelly Roberts; eight great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Greenwood Cemetery near Rison with Brother Charles McBryde and Brother Brian Roberts officiating.
